The supplications of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ

A man came in on a Friday through a door facing the pulpit while the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was standing delivering the sermon. He faced him and said: "O Messenger of Allah, the livestock have died and the roads are cut off; ask Allah to send us rain." … The Messenger of Allah ﷺ raised his hands and said: "O Allah, give us rain! O Allah, give us rain! O Allah, give us rain!" Anas said: "By Allah, we could not see in the sky any cloud, or wisp of cloud, or anything, and there was no house or building between us and Mount Sal'. Then from behind it rose a cloud like a shield; when it reached the middle of the sky it spread out, and then it rained."
