The character of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ was the best of people, the most generous and the bravest. One night the people of Medina were alarmed (by a noise). Some people set off towards the sound, but the Messenger of Allah ﷺ met them on his way back: he had gone ahead of them to the sound, riding a horse of Abu Talha bareback, with a sword around his neck, saying: "Do not be afraid, do not be afraid!" He said (of the horse): "We found it like the sea", or: "It is truly a sea." And it had been a slow horse.
